‘The Energy Challenge’ – promoting sustainability to schools

Our brief was to encourage schools to adopt sustainability. Whilst the benefits are clear – lower bills, helping the environment and educating pupils – how were we to convince resource starved schools that it is easy and worthwhile?

The Energy Challenge was launched – 3 simple steps that any school can take towards sustainability. This was backed up with case studies including a film showcasing the work undertaken by Top Valley School in Nottingham. Extensive trade coverage was achieved and the film is now featured in the sustainability section of DCSF’s teachernet site.
